I don't know why that is happening (probaly just the way Palm OS works!),
but I would suggest checking for "penDownEvent" AND "penUpEvent" following
the "penDownEvent"... check for taps field, maybe?

I'm building an app that takes pen taps in an "empty" screen (no controls,
lists, fields, etc). I use penUpEvents to get notified about a screen tap.

After using a modal window or a menu, there is an extra penUpEvent in the
queue that I didn't don't put there. I do check the penUpEvents to make
sure they are above the graffiti area. I seem to remember somewhere that
penUpEvents hang around in bizarre ways, but I can't find any references to
it. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Thanks,

dave
