I also asked the Kyocera rep about the phone's OS. It will ship with 3.5
(maybe 3.5.2), and it will be in flash. However, a PalmOS 4.0 upgrade is
possible, but will likely require you to contact your phone carrier, rather
than being something you can perform yourself. I suspect the phones will
the locked to a CDMA provider and its network.
They did look very nice -- a 8MB Vx with the M100 screen and a phone! They
also supported INetLib applications; Clipper worked, and VChat might have
worked if I'd registered myself correctly (the server didn't like people
leaving email and hometown empty).
