I call it a bug. There's no documented way to let you override the content
of that one particular string. It happens because HotSync seems to be
calling DmGetResource to fetch that string while your app's database is
open, so your copy of the string overrides HotSync's own copy.

Hopefully not in 4.0 and later. But the 4.0 DR2 version of the HotSync
overlay does still have the same resources with the same ID's, so I wouldn't
be surprised if it still happens.
