Transparent Text (background)

Well, I have been trying to stay quiet on here so not to sound stupid, but 
I'm afraid I am not stuck again. I have some art/bitmap on the screen and I 
want to show a score over it without a ugly box. I tried WinsetBackColor to 
0 with hope that it would be transparent. It's not. Does anyone know if 
it's possible to do this?
