welcome to Palm OS (tm) development :)
when dealing with any form of embedded system development, you have
to make adjustments of some form. the same applies when developing
in Java for the Palm. there are specific libraries you should be
using.. a win95 Java app will not run on the Palm. :) ditto with
visual basic.
appforge and NSbasic provide the two best options for Basic to
the best of my knowledge, download both and analyse them for your
purpose and make a decision :)
if neither are good, you could always write your own.
