This is a known issue in the R7 debugger when debugging via serial to device.
(USB works as advertised - pretty fast). The R7 debugger incorporated a lot of
extra error checking code and other measures to resolve download problems
especially with large PRCs; unfortunately the same code had the unfortunate side
effect of slowing down the download via serial. This is something we are looking
into right now, but unfortunately we don't have a good solution that strikes a
good balance between stability and speed as of yet. I apologize for any
inconvenience caused.
