Because a global timeout in my application won't help when calling the modal
dialog functions since its not my event loop that is called... and I've
hashed it out here so someone searching the archives later on this topic
(ok, I know it never happens, but I can hope) will be able to benefit. :)
But you are right, I think the subject has run its course.
