In the directory Scripting in the POSE source distribution, you'll
find the directories Perl and Python.  In each of these directories
are modules that implement the RPC2 interface for communicating with
POSE from the host.  Apparently, you can make calls to any function
that has an associated systrap.  I haven't done much with the library,
but did create a couple of functions in Python for monitoring the
memory usage of an application.

I haven't explored the possibilities of the scripts, but they appear
quite powerful.
