You're right: While the device is off, your application is effectively
stalled in it's call to SysHandleEvent. That means your app never gets an
appStopEvent, nor can it continue to handle other events. It's pretty much
as if the CPU just stalled, although in fact the CPU does wake up
periodically during sleep, much like people do ;-)
