hello, i'm learning to develop palm application for a year or so (it's not my main job so it takes a lot of time). i don't know how it is at your countries,but at my country (Israel) we don't have palm VII working, so all the palms r actually off-line handhelds/ althoght some (few) have a cellolar modem that can be connected to the palm. my main idea is that as u can see the palm is mainly a non-online thing. there r a lot of palm users, but i'm addressing this msg to the developers and those who use the palm to there work (not to those u take the palm just to play games) : do u think that NOWDAYS, as the palm is mainly a off-line thing, there is more use to it than the use of its built in apps (date book, address book ... or things like those things)?? for what do u use your palm mainly (exsept the built-in apps)?? as a developer i thought about having an application to one of our client. my company deals with database, MFG, ERP and thing like that ( more of a supporting com'), but i saw that the palm cann't hold large DB on it (as ERP), and cann't update the main DB in the secound he is chanching (because of the non-online opportunity) so i found the palm to be just as a replacement to paper-work - like papers orders, and recipts. do u see more than this (nowdays)?? tnx :-) -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/support/forums/
