I want to use NetLib functions to get and set preferences for different
network services on the Palm device. I would like to be able to set the
default service to be used when netlib is opened, and be able to set
different preference settings on that service such as whether to use dhcp or
a static ip address.

I see the NetLibIFSettingGet(), NetLibIFSettingSet(), NetLibIFAttach() and
other netlib functions that look like they will do exactly what I want. I
just don't know how to actually specify the "Windows RAS" service as the
service I want to work with in my netlib function calls. I want to work
with other services as well, such as Compuserve, etc.

I assume that the ifCreator and ifInstance are the values I need to get
right here but I don't know how to find those values for the particular
service I want to change. Are these hard coded static values or do I have
to walk through the list looking for "Compuserve" and go from there? I
basically want to do what I can do in the Preference Panel under the Network
settings section, but I want to do this in my own code, setting the
preferences to what I know they need to be for my application to work.

Thanks.
