Wow!
After all that, and having to endure the errors spit out by the
emulator debug because I dared to access the from data directly,
It just didn't work.
I'm still stuck with my original problem of prior title text
"showing thru" the new title text, when the new text length
is shorter than the prior text length.
...and I'm not hearing much from our authoritative and knowledgeable
friends @ palm.
