I guess that brings up the question of what your hardware is.

jkl mentioned the SDK for if you're using a Symbol SPT or barcode scanner
system.  If you're using another system (Intermec, Handspring, etc.), you'll
need to get ahold of the SDK for your particular system.

Your manufacturer should have that (Symbol's is on their website).  It just
so happens that CodeWarrior includes Symbol's SDK with it.

If it is a Symbol, may I also suggest the 'symbol-forum', as it would help
with those specific questions.

You could try checking out the Symbol SDK, which it is included as part of
CodeWarrior for Palm 7.0/8.0. v8.0 has the newer version. It's also
downloadable
from Symbol's website I think. The SDK includes some sample code that might
be
helpful.
