I'd like my application to remain in the background and still running
when I switch to another application.
Right now, whenever I tap the home button, my application simply
exits.
Do you know if there is a way to make it still resident in memory
even when the user is switching to another app ?

The main point of that is that I'm patching Graffiti in my application,
in order to replace with my own recognition engine. It works fine within
my app, but of course the patch has to be unloaded when the app exits
(or it will just screw the system), and I want the patch to remain active
for other applications.

I know, some people are gonna say I should write a hackmaster hack,
but I would like to do that without the use of a third party product
(for some very straightforward business issues).
And it seems like the software SimpliWrite from ART does exactly
that : it replaces Graffiti, without the use of a hack manager. So I guess
it remains in memory ...

Any idea ?

Thanks,

Renaud.
