I am sorry Gavin, it was my mistake for not giving details of my Application
development method. I am pure VB developer, so I do not understand most of
the C/C++ world.
I have used AppForge 2.0 Personal Edition Visual Basic Add-in for Palm
application Development. This add-in provides me to declare the database
structure, Database creation and other functionality to read and write
(within Palm). It does provide the Universal Conduit for Professional
Edition users, I do not have that so I need to develop a conduit on my own.
It is also a learning for me to build some corporate apps (if all goes
well!!!).
The structure declaration and the database creation is as follows;
'PDB - OB.pdb
Public Type OBRecord
OBDate As Date
Amount As Currency
Remarks As String
End Type

AppForge add-in creates the PRC files for deployment. I do not know what
data types it uses while creating PRC files and databases. With the above
code, the data types I am using may be clear. I am not sure about the
equivalent Palm datatype. If I am not wrong it is unsigned Short for Date
and Unsigned Long for currency.
There is no support available from AppForge or its news groups, as I have
only license to personal edition, I am not entitled to ask support from
them.
Please help me to overcome this issue.
