No. Newer builds (not yet posted) of the simulator now complain when you do this, because... Well, there's also the question of screen density. And the number of bits for red, green, and blue. And bit endianness. And other things too that aren't problems yet, but which soon would be, that I can't go into quite yet. We'd like to have a better way to do page flipping; that'd be far more supportable, and there have been lots of discussions internally.
