Hmm . . . I hadn't realized this question was asking "how do I connect my Palm with an external hardware modem with a serial cable which is normally connected to a PC" . . . in that case, throw the Palm into a serial cradle and goto a Radio Shack-like place and get a null modem adapter . . . you may need a gender changer too. Then you should be able to go:
modem-------gender changer/null modem adapter--------serial cradle-----palm we do this with other serial hardware and it works great.
