I have a custom client/server application suite that my company and I have built, and I was wondering how feasible it would be to be able to update the program on the palm clients from a .prc stored on the server. That way clients could automaticalyl get a new version of the program simply by connecting to the server to recieve their usual inventory updates for the day.
Could the .PRC be stored as a BLOB in the database then transferred to the palm, by the old version , written to the palm as an application then execution passed to it? This would be much simpler than to have all the mobile salespeople come into the main office to get the updated program. ---------------------------------- Dale A.
