Hello All, Im creating a Palm application to control the Auto-Off feature. Application Icon in the Palm OS Home should indicate the current status (whether Auto-Off is disabled or not) with a simple animation.
I have three bitmap Icons. I would call it BITMAP1, BITMAP2 & BITMAP3. If the Auto-Off feature is ON which is the default property, the Application Icon should display BITMAP1. If the Auto-Off feature is disabled either by my application or System Preferences, the Application Icon should display BITMAP2 & BITMAP3 in a flipping manner. How can I animate an Application Icon with a sequence of bitmap Icons? Can we manipulate video memory directly? Is this what we will have to do if you want to do fast and smooth animation, or want to do fancy stuff like fades, merges, etc. Are there sample codes available on the net? Please give ur suggestions & ideas. Thank you for ur time & consideration. jeff -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/
