Actually, <http://www.m-w.com> has "nitpick", but not "nit-pick". Even so, don't worry. Even if "nit-picking" is considered correct by some, according to Knuth (<http://sunburn.stanford.edu/~knuth/email.html>), "nit-picking" will eventually become "nitpicking". :-)
