The UIs the same though. Metrowerks needs to learn the Microsoft trick of
radically changing the UI with every major release so it feels like you are

We've been thinking more along those lines lately. Alas, we've not had many slack resources that could work on UI facelifts; the IDE team has been busy implementing useful features instead, mainly for our embedded products, and maintaining everything cross-platform between Windows, Mac OS X, Solaris, and Linux. I think the docking windows in V9 were pretty noticeable and change the way you use the product, but you're right that the basic look and functionality of the CW IDE hasn't changed radically in a while.
