I have gotten this error on a couple of different project, when attempting to debug in metrowerks. The emulator is fine, but this is when using a real device.
Does anyone know of any way to overcome this? I am using Metrowerks 9.1. I have the 9.2 update, and that could potentially solve it. However, I am doing some work for a company that does not want to go to a 9.2 upgrade until the next project.
Are you connecting via serial or USB?
The reasons to get this error would be:
1) a problem setting up the communication channel to the device 2) a problem uploading the program to the device
You might want to do a second CW installation, install 9.2 into there, then just upgrade your 9.1 bin\plugins\debugger folder with the 9.2 items. That won't affect project compatibility, but will give you the updated debugger from the release.
