Hi All, We learned that WindowsCE (or Pocket PC) supports low level IR communication therefore there's no need to access the microprocessor itself in developer's code. Will and When Palm OS do the same ?
We have developed software for use in PALM devices that require access to the IRDA port, but do not run IRDA protocol, this requires low level commands to the IR serial port. The software runs well in m105, m125, m130, m515 (all with Dragonball processor). However, the latest PALM device we are intending to use is the Palm Tungsten E. This device uses the TI microprocessor OMAP311 whose documentation is not public. If there is any solution to this, we'd like to stay with Palm OS instead of changing to WindowsCE.
