Hi Mr Powell, You cannot Install Codewarrior from a CD without the data2.cab file.
Ask to someone to place you the file "data2.cab" by a FTP server. I think that this is the best workaround until you receive the replace CD. I could send you the file data2.cab (I would no loose the opportunitty to help a CEO ;-) ) but I do not have a ftp server to help you now. Someone from the forum could please help Mr. Powell with the FTP issue? regards /helio ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ben L Powell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Palm Developer Forum" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, December 09, 2003 5:27 PM Subject: Codewarrior damaged CD > Hello, > > Our Codewarrior for Palm R9 CD has been damaged and CW cannot be installed > from the CD anymore. > > I already contacted Metrowerks support for instructions on how to order a > new CD (hope is very very cheaper compared with a new Software license by > itself) - But I do not see another choice. > > But anyway I come here to the forums to ask if someone could provided us > please an idea on how to manage the situation - according to my developer > the only file that is damaged at our original CD is the "data2.cab" - how > could I make it work until the replace CD comes to us from Metrowerks? > > Sorry to disturb all of you developers with this situation - but all of you > know what is for a developer to plan to stay the next 2 or 3 weeks stopped, > losing time and money waiting for a CD come to your address (my developer > discovered that our Codewarrior CD was damaged right after we uninstalls CW > from the HD hopping to perform a clean "reinstall" ) > > Best Regards > > Ben L Powell - CEO > > iMagic Solutions > > -- > For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see > http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/ > ____________________________________________________________ Free Poetry Contest.
