First, you don't say what version of Palm OS. Second, you don't say what kind of application you're thinking of writing. Given those "free variables", I could point out that you could use, say, CodeWarrior or prc-tools to write a 68K application that runs under Palm OS 4 under Palm OS Emulator. Or you could use Satellite Forms, AppForge, SuperWaba, HSPascal, etc., if you don't want to program in C++.

If you are thinking specifically about developing applications that use the Protein API, then your statement is for the moment correct, as the Palm OS Cobalt Simulator only runs under Windows XP and 2K. But keep in mind the sections related to Linux and Macintosh in the PODS FAQ (<http://www.palmos.com/dev/tools/dev_suite_faq.html>). Also keep in mind David Desrosiers threats to get wine to a state sufficient to run PalmSim on Linux. :-)
