My question doesn't specifically deal with palm development except for the fact that my app is running on a palm, but a sincere thanks to anyone who reads and/or responds anyway in spite of this.
My app has a little bit of FTP functionality and I've noticed that I get different results to a LIST command on different servers. For example, on one server I would get back something like: 03-16-04 07:39PM 396353 SomeFile.xml while on another server the response would be: -rw-r--r-- 1 sometext sometext 396353 Mar 16 7:39 SomeFile.xml So my question would have to be, is there any way of knowing, out of however many different types of responses there are out there, which response type will come back so my app doesn't inexplicably crash when I get a response I haven't seen and therefore haven't hard coded how to read? -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/
