Stop and take a deep breath. Now, let's figure out what the problem is.
A crashing linker is not a common problem or else the thousands of programmers who use CodeWarrior would not be using it. Your best bet will be to use CodeWarrior 9.3. It has all the latest bug fixes and support for Garnet. Start by telling us what you are trying to do. Are you trying to build the sample projects, a project of your own, or something you've inherited? Has the project built before on another machine, but not the one you are using? Have you used CodeWarrior successfully on this machine before? When does the error occur? As you launch CodeWarrior, as you open a project, or when you build the project? All of these actions result in different messages to the linker. Try deleting the folder inside your project called something like "My_Project_Data". It will be at the same level as your CW project file (.mcp). Restart CodeWarrior and open your project and build. -E > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of > steven r. eastlake > Sent: Monday, November 29, 2004 1:05 PM > To: Palm Developer Forum > Subject: Re: Palm OS 68K Linker encountered an unhandled exception > > something that i have pondered, after uninstalling 9.3 and > install and run 9.0, resulting in 'Palm OS 68K Linker > encountered an unhandled exception', thus 9.3, 9.2, 9.0 flag > linker exceptions; there has to be numerous other's who have > similar experience, yet, am i the only one in america or on > this planet, i have done web search to no avail, and you and > your staff should have seen this previously i would have > thought, then is it not unreasonable to suspect hardware/os > combination... i don't know what to do regarding mw... i am > sure mw can determine the problem, but it seems that everyone > who uses 9.3, 9.2, 9.0 would have same problem, and mw would > have fixed by now... i am puzzled, please help with advice > about this... thanks for all your help thus far... > -- > For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to > unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/ > -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/
