the most interesting thing about making the mw tic-tac-toe.mcp project fail is
that PalmRez now cannot create a file failing the compilation, so appears
problem is upstream and being passed into linker, be it 68k or PalmRez... i
suppose god help me if no one can re-create the problem... thank you for all
help thus far...
hello jonathan,
i forced tic-tac-toe.mcp to fail:
1. open this mw project
2. add chars to about form title, save
3. add chars to tic-tac-toe.c string constants,
lines 329, or 333, or 337, save
4. run, link error: PalmRez Error: Could not create
output file c:\dir\dir\dir\dir\tic-tac-toe.prc. Compilation
halted.
5. close constructor, run success, form title changes gone...
hope this helps, and again, thank you for assistance... steve

Hello Steve,
Would it be possible to get a copy of the project, source, etc. that
demonstrates this crash? If possible I would like to try and reproduce the
crash here.
Let me know if that is an option.
Regards,
Jonathan

thank you for responding so quickly...
registration # xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx, the metrowerks
website will not accept this number, invalid...
i am still in dialog with ben combee at news.palmos.com
trying to figure out the nature of the 68k linker exception
that is persistently occurring in my codewarrior 9
environment... there is a discrepancy with the linker
versions as one issue, and linker failure as the other
issue; is the linker itself causing failure, or an upstream
process causing linker to fail...
thank you for assistance... steve
