Thanks to Dan and Pavel for indicating that it was with the original toolset.  
While I did not find that specific file your advice prompted me (what felt like 
for the fifth time!) to reload the environment.  For some unexplicable reason 
(operator error)the application will at least start but bumps out on a fatal 
bmpdensity error.
 
Is the Tungsten E Simulator, from your experience, a viable platform to develop 
off of?  I have noticed several email postings indicating that there seems to 
be a problem with it.
 
Did I miss something in setting it up or are there certain coding aspects you 
handle different for the simulator than the handheld?  I mean, the sample 
midlet worked onthe actual handheld but does not on the simulator.
