When using the previous version of PODS I integrated the Eclipse Plugin to integrate VSS support. I know this is "unsupported" but it worked fine. This continued to work with (albeit using a later version of the VSS plugin) with the pre-release of PODS 1.1.

Now I've reinstalled everything onto a new computer (using the release version of PODS 1.1) the VSS plugin no longer works. I don't get any error messages. Viewing details of plugins shows that it is there, it is just not activated :-(

Has something been done to explicitly prevent plugins working ?

I don't believe so. What version of the VSS plugin are you trying to use?

Looking at <http://vssplugin.sourceforge.net/> and <http://sourceforge.net/projects/vssplugin/> it appears that version 1.5 of the VSS plug-in was for Eclipse 2.1, but version 1.6 is needed for Eclipse 3.

Make sure you are using version 1.6, as the release version of PODS 1.1 is based on Eclipse 3.0.1, whereas PODS 1.0 used Eclipse 2.1.2.

Oddly enough, the tech preview of PODS 1.1 also had Eclipse 3.0, so I'm not sure why you were able to make it work on one machine but not on the other. Perhaps you're not using the 1.6 VSS plug-in on the new machine?

Anyone got this combination working ?

Not that I know of; at PalmSource we use Perforce (and the Perforce plug-in).
