Product: Treo 600/650 (possibly Tungsten T5)
Summary: Receiving an alert (such as an alarm clock, task alarm...etc) will crash the device.
Steps:
Assume you have 5 or more pending alerts in the Attention Manager. Next, display the Attention Dialog in list mode and use the 5-wav navigator to select one of the pending alerts. While one of the alert item is hilighted, if a new alert arrives (added by AttnGetAttention), the phone will reboot. I have tested this on a real Treo 650 device as well as the Treo 600 Simulator. It happens every time this pattern is repeated.
Another related bug: when using the 5-way navigator to choose one of the pending alert, if a new alert arrives, the current selection will suddenly jump to the first alert.
Comment: Is there any workaround to this problem? My program will crash device if I call AttnGetAttention() while the user have 5 or more pending alerts and have selected one of the alerts.
I've got some more information to share.
Here's the crash information I got from the Dialer Pad,
"A crash occured on 2/19/05 at 4:14pm while running "Applications": Table.c, Line: 2463, Invalid row".
