Well, thank you for your confidence, and while it is true that PACE has been incredibly solid, I hesitate to say that any non-trivial piece of software might be completely bug-free.
I agree with Dr. Vesselin Bontchev that the best way to figure things out is to break the algorithm out into pieces, and step through with a debugger. Shouldn't be hard to figure out what's causing it to loop forever.
