allow me to detect what version ROM version the device is using?
I am trying to detect between a symbol1700 and a symbol1800.
Symbol 1800's use OS 4.1
Symbol 1700's use nothing later than 3.5, and if they have an older
OS can be reflashed for free to the OS3.5 level .
