That seems like a good idea.  Divide and conquer!  (Although my
.signature this time seems to suggest otherwise. :-)

there may be system conflicts with other software.

why not start an empty vmware image, install cygwin + PODS and see how it
fairs out. PODS has some dependencies on specific versios of cygwin; and,
that could definatey cause problems if yo have multiple versions isntalled..

(nte: somie open source apps ship with cygwin .dll's)
