Well, he's 35, good looking in the European way, professional male model,
exceptionally fit, 6'6" with a deep bedroom voice... If he's managed to
alienate every available female out there, that's his fault!

Yeah, I know too much about this man. I've been privy to his "boy" chats with
his man friends, (shudder - most women would have quit...), and heard the ups
and downs of his dating exploits and tolerated his total disregard for women in
general. As I am not his type and 7 years older, I've managed to become his
work mother/wife/sister. The amount of disgust I have for him changes on a
daily basis and is soooooooooooooooo close to becoming hatred on some days,
it's scary.

In 10 years of computer troubleshooting, with an average of at least 2 calls
per week, I have a 99% average in fixing the horrible metal boxes. It's not
often that I can't find and fix the problem - and even if I can't fix it, I can
explain why and possible fixes.

Maybe I will do as you said Louis. Time to start thinking big instead of
small.. A lot of the other Mobile "techs" (I use the term loosely.. some have
been shoddy) have faded out. Maybe it's time to shine again. :D I pulled out
when there were lots of school leavers trying to make a quick buck and were out
there formatting everyone's machines. You only format as the last choice. I
always guarantee data recovery.

Strangely enough, for the last year or so of working for myself (over 12 months
ago), I was always called out to fix other techy "fixes:". Sort of says a lot,
doesn't it? Some still call, all this time later, as I've been the only one to
fix their problems.

Well, enough rambling - time to get some work done. LOL Better get the payroll
done for the 30 odd boilermakers here. I Do Not want to be in the firing line
if wages are late! (eek)

Oh, and in the paper craft field - I'm half way through building one of the
Haunted mansions. I'm doing ... Um... The one with the atrium. I've printed
the windows and the atrium on transparences and hopefully tonight I'll take
some photos of the semi finished building. I'm loving it. :D

Mandy

But when he smiles for real and actually looks at me, it's quite sexy.....
Like just 15 minutes ago! I can't cope with this!! Plus with his European
personal space, it can get quite breath catching here... But I don't let him
know! mwaaa ha ha ha

  Well Mandy,
Start thinking your business as a "BIG" business and it will grow to that
level. Approach companyies, etc. That is what I did. I am a architect and I
went from doing home reno's for mum & dads when I first started off to far
larger projects (commercial, industrial, residential) which help to pay the
bills and some. I work hard but I ge to keep the money (after paying Mr taxman
(Mr. Swan's bagmen) ).
  Louis
PS. I had to laugh at your comment: It's not my fault that he's "not getting
any action!"

  2009/2/17 Mandy <[email protected]>

I used to run a mobile business fixing computers, but it too never paid the
bills. I'd like to get it good enough to do again - but it's exhausting work.
Being a female, most of my customers where the vulnerable types. Single
parents, the elder generations (one was 97 years old!), the infirm and the sole
occupants. They aren't the richest and therefore, I never got more than pocket
money from it. <sigh> Could never charge them very much. It just felt wrong!

The boss has gone out and hopefully he'll come back in a better mood. Maybe
he realised that he's being mean today. It's not my fault that he's "not
getting any action!"

Hang on - did you say fictitious business name? LOL I've got one of them

    "The PC Girl".. :D

Technically, I could consider myself self-employed, as I do have a
fictitious business name and do occasionally get paid for doing notaries, but
it's not enough to make a living on.

Hah........ I work from home also since walking out of my last job
because I couldn't stant the antiquated practices of the company I was with.
Going to my 14th year on my own and would not go back working for a "Boss".

Nope. Been unemployed since October of '07. The wife's boss is too
cool to
ever yell. Too busy working on his fire truck, too. (Too many too's?)
