I think the litmus test would be if he gave the model a little nothing toss off a roof, and as it started to fall, the craft would recover and level is trajectory based on lift applied to its wings (Bernoulli effect.) If you make one of those 3rd grade delta dart paper planes and throw it straight down it will happily level off and sail away.
