I'm not *quite* old enough to have read the Golden Age stories when
they first came out, but I enjoy your stuff nonetheless.

Wife and I watch "Smallville". Their two-hour "tribute" to the
Golden Age really ticked me off.

If you haven't seen it, off-topic rant with SPOILERS follows.

The Golden Age superheroes weren't around in the current Lois and
Clark's time because some shady Government agency had tried to get
them to work exclusively for them; when the heroes declined, the
agency trumped up charges against them and put them in prison! The
heroes, being Good Guys, didn't resist! I'm sorry, but BS! If nothing
else I refuse to accept that the Oans would permit a Green Lantern to
abandon his post.
