I definitely understand. I had a similar problem with the Lara Croft
T-Rex head. It was completely my fault for making it more difficult than
it should be, but it still turned out good enough to give as a Christmas
present.

All seems very quiet here so I thought I might post a progress pic. Time
spent ?...I've lost count....time to finish ?....maybe 20 or 30 hours
with the stand. The small part that looks like a handle underneath is
surprisingly difficult to build.
Each recessed front part is made up of a fill in part that covers
across the opening and then a wrap around front plate. If I were to do
it again I would put the fill in part in and then close the top and
bottom and then put in the wrap around as I got it a little out of shape
by fitting the top at the end of the build. It would have kept the
correct shape if it the top had been put in first. I hope that made
sense ...if you have the model here are the parts.
Top and bottom part numbers 227, 228
Fill in part numbers 223, 225
Wrap around part numbers 224, 226
A thoroughly enjoyable build, the only exceptions being self-inflicted
and probably only noticed by myself, highly recommended.
