Hello, I've started working on a plans for building elements. They are available here:
http://www.gnu.org/software/3dldf/graphics/bldelem1.pdf The source code is available here: http://www.gnu.org/software/3dldf/models.html#Building_Elements Currently, it contains plans for rectangular prisms in various sizes, some with ends at a 90 degree angle to the faces, and some with a bevel of 45 degrees. The plans are created using macros, so that varying the parameters results in different plans. So far, I've only defined two macros, but there are unlimited possibilities. For each "building element", there's a version with single tabs and one with double tabs. The double tab version is probably more suitable for use with thicker paper or cardboard. The tabs and faces have crosshairs for alignment. The ones on the tabs can be used for sewing the model together, or for gluing and using occasional stitches for better alignment. The positions of the crosshairs on the faces have been chosen to be generally useful. For a particular model, the placement could be changed by modifying the macro. Any feedback would be very welcome. Thank you. Laurence Finston -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Papermodels II" group.
