Tack så mycket Len,
It was a great fun to design the Santa models. They opened my own eyes for the
poetical sides of technology and its history.
I am sorry if I made you disappointed by stopping the series. But I am old
enough to be allowed to sit down and think over my situation asking: Am I doing
this for fun or am I doing this for I have put myself in a sort of obligation.
The time before Christmas is usually quite stressy even without having to think
of a new invention to present in a week or so. Of course one could have
designed the Christmas models half a year in advance. But I don´t function that
way. It is not until the first snow falls that I get inspiration enough to
start the design job....
Actually, feedback like the mail you sent, encourages me to think of taking up
the series again. This paper model group and its predecessing mail lists have
been of such a great importance for me and I could tell you that the Santas
were born in my mind as a way of corresponding with all you nice people out
there.
 Thanks and Best Wishes
Gunnar

  Hej Gunnar,

...and a very Merry Christmas to you too!! Since 1999, I have always looked
forward to Dec. 13th in anticipation to the very special gifts you provide each
year at this time. I was hooked on your "Santa and the Art of..." series and
have made everyone of them, which we hang on our Christmas Tree each year. I
was disappointed that you decided to stop the series, however I am sincerely
grateful that you still keep the spirit alive with the wonderful gifts you do
continue to provide. Part of my anticipation each year is to see if you might
have decided to continue the "Santa" series :>) and although this may not be in
your interests right now, I will continue to hope that some day we will once
again see "Santa and the Art of ?????.

I'm sure some of the other old time paper modelers may feel the same
way...Speak up if you're out there!!!

   tack så mycket
  Thank you very much,
  Len Johnson
