I should mention these jpg files display at 1494 dpi and need to be scaled differently to print at actual size. Also, I've calculated that they're standard Japanese paper size, which is
7.17" × 10.12" I've found the easiest way to make these ready is to convert them to 233dpi while preserving the data - that is, don't resample the image. I've found it helps to sharpen edges. Make the size of the document 8.5"x11" while keeping the image centered on the page at the same 7.17" × 10.12". For examples of the way to do that: In ACD Canvas, use Image > Area > Resolution and set the DPI to 233 and check 'Preserve Data'. Then go to Image > Canvas Size and change the it to 8.5" x 11" Landscape. For CS Photoshop, use Image Size > Change Resolution to 233 without resampling. Then go to crop the image to 11" x 8.5". That will give you a reasonable result on US standard paper. The same technique can be used for A4 sizes, as well.
