FWIW: if you use cute pdf writer to "print" the paper-replika models to a new pdf file, your new copy of the pdf file strips away the password. I actually use pdf-xchange to read the pdf file in the first place, and it has a function to write each page of the pdf file to a .jpg or .png image. I ususally do this for all models as I almost always want to tweak some part of the image.
