Not sure if this has been previously reported, but David Hathaway's
'Paper Shipwright' pages (http://www.papershipwright.co.uk/) now carry a
free download of the "Queen of the Isles". I see the notice on his
website says the model was published in April 2014.
According to David's notes, "The MV Queen of the Isles was a small
passenger/cargo ferry launched in 1964 to provide extra capacity on the
route from Cornwall to the Scilly Isles. Traffic declined and she was
sold, serving as an excursion steamer in the Irish Sea, as a ferry
around Tongo (sic) in the Pacific and as a small cruise ship - before
being abandoned as a derelict hulk in New Zealand".
It's nice looking model - and one that will definitely be on my list of
models to build. This will be second time I have modelled this ship -
the first, some years ago, was when I used the drawings and templates
from Geoffrey Deason's "Cardboard Ship Models".
Long-time list members may recall I am a great fan of Deason. His
seminal work 'Simple Cardboard Models (called in its first edition
"Cardboard Engineering with Scissors and Paste") remains to my mind the
bible for card modelling.
Thanks, David, for what looks to be another great model from your slipways.
