Meg's comment caused me to visit the Silhouette Web site for the first time in more than a year, update my software to the latest version, and get a PixScan mat on order. Whether I ever use it with a camera is irrelevant. The important bit is that the registration marks needed in order for the machine to know where to cut are now *off* the paper!
Working with raster paper model pages in attempts to create cut files was previously very frustrating as the registration marks and "do not print in this area" areas invariably ended up *on* a part, requiring dissection of the scanned image(s) and rearrangement of the parts before ever importing them into the software. The unprintable areas took up at least 20% of each page. Now it looks as though that big step is no longer required. :-) Now all I need is time to play with the thing again ... -- Mike Hungerford http://www.chthulhu.com/models.html -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Papermodels II" group.
