They should be mounted as shown with the narrow side in to the turret. There should be a black square on the front of each where the armor glass was located. These allowed the turrets to target independently should they lose contact with the sets of rangefinders located at the top of the forward mast. The B turret apparently also had a couple gun tubs on top, though how you could survive there when the main guns fired I am not sure. You would certainly end up deaf and blind from the muzzle blasts!
