Well, I could not see what the first error was.
Go to FTP and download latest version instead.
GNU Parallel 20170222 ('13769') has been released. It is available for
download at: http://ftpmirror.gnu.org/parallel/
Please note that GNU Parallel is actually just one Perl file. You can
simply copy 'parallel' from the tar-ball to /usr/local/bin if you like.
