It is quite amazing. GNU Parallel is a cornerstone for Louisianna State University High Performance Computing. It would be a hard time if they suddently couldn't use it. XKCD have a drawing for this dependency https://xkcd.com/2347/ The video is a two hour traning in getting a GNU Parallel "driver licens". You need to understand how the CPU work internaly.
