I just wrote out the dataset "can.exo", as an Exodus dataset. I then read it back in, and it remains a multiblock dataset. The Exodus writer is only available on the trunk, however, and will be released this spring as ParaView 3.6.

It should really not be that hard as XML is hirarchical. We solved the issue by implementing a reader plugin for our format (which is written in a own HDF5 dialect). This has limitations, therefore I'm still interested in exporting parview data. I believe that an extension of the VTK and Paraview (pvd) file format can only come from kiteware to make it a standard. _______________________________________________ ParaView mailing list [email protected] http://www.paraview.org/mailman/listinfo/paraview _______________________________________________ ParaView mailing list [email protected] http://www.paraview.org/mailman/listinfo/paraview
