I am going to guess that something is screwed up with the Qt installation. I recommend building your own (I know it is not fun). I built pretty much every combination possible (32bit vs 64bit and Cocoa vs Carbon). I am currently using 64bit build with Cocoa. There are some glitches that we will have to fix but nothing that stops me from working.
