Hi, just thought I'd share this in case someone else runs into the same issue-
After upgrading my computer to dual quad-core intel xeons, and installing Ubuntu Karmic (9.10), pvserver with mpi would hang after a few renders. It turns out it was this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openmpi/+bug/504659 https://svn.open-mpi.org/trac/ompi/ticket/2043 I removed the openmpi-bin and libopenmpi-dev packages and installed libmpich2-dev and mpich2. Now everything is stable! Pat
